Ingredients
Biscuit Dough
- 1 box Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Crab Filling
- 1 pound Lump crab meat
- ½ cup Mayonnaise
- ¼ tsp Paprika
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- ½ tsp Onion powder
- ½ Tube Ritz crackers, crushed finely
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Finishing
- 2 tbsp Melted butter
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Muffin Tin: Heat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and spray the sections of a muffin tin thoroughly with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Biscuit Dough: Mix together the cheddar bay biscuit mix according to the package instructions. Stir in the Italian seasoning and garlic powder evenly into the dough for an extra flavor boost.
- Make Crab Filling: In a separate bowl, combine the lump crab meat, paprika, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, onion powder, grated Parmesan, finely crushed Ritz crackers, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix gently until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Form Biscuit Bowls: Spoon a portion of the biscuit dough into each muffin tin cup. Using your fingers or a small spoon, shape the dough into a bowl form to hold the crab filling.
- Fill Biscuit Bowls: Spoon a generous amount of the crab filling into each biscuit dough bowl ensuring it is well packed but not overflowing.
- Top Biscuits: Cover the crab filling with a small amount of the remaining biscuit dough, sealing the filling inside, and smoothing the top to create a uniform biscuit shape.
- Bake Biscuits: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake the stuffed biscuits for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and cooked through.
- Prepare Lemon Butter: While the biscuits bake, mix melted butter and lemon juice together in a small bowl, creating a flavorful glaze.
- Brush Biscuits: As soon as the biscuits come out of the oven, brush them generously with the lemon butter mixture to add moisture and a tangy finish.
- Serve Warm: Remove the biscuits from the muffin tin, serve them immediately while warm for best taste and texture.
