Description

This creamy garlic lime cilantro sauce is a versatile and vibrant condiment perfect for adding a fresh, zesty kick to a variety of dishes. Made with fresh cilantro, lime juice, jalapeño, garlic, and creamy mayonnaise, this sauce can elevate tacos, grilled meats, salads, and more. It's quick to prepare and blends bold flavors into a smooth, tangy, and slightly spicy sauce.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch Cilantro (stems and all)
  • 1-2 Limes (juiced)
  • 1-2 Jalapeño peppers (stem removed)
  • 5-10 cloves Garlic
  • 2 cups Mayonnaise (Hellmann's or Duke's preferred)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Rinse the cilantro thoroughly, including stems, and remove the stems if preferred for a milder flavor. Juice 1-2 fresh limes to yield about 2-3 tablespoons of lime juice. Remove the stems from the jalapeño peppers, and if you prefer less heat, remove the seeds.
  2. Blend Sauce: Add cilantro, lime juice, jalapeño peppers, garlic cloves, and mayonnaise into a high-speed blender. Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, ensuring all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Store and Serve: Pour the blended sauce into a squeeze bottle or airtight container. Refrigerate until ready to use. This sauce is perfect to drizzle on tacos, grilled meats, salads, or use as a dip. Enjoy immediately or after chilling for enhanced flavors.

Notes

  • Adjust the number of jalapeños based on preferred spice level.
  • If a thinner consistency is desired, add a tablespoon or two of water or lime juice while blending.
  • The sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week in an airtight container.
  • Use fresh cilantro for the best flavor; dried cilantro will not yield the same result.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute mayonnaise with vegan mayo.
