Description

Dubai Chocolate Strawberries are an elegant layered dessert featuring crispy kataifi dough blended with pistachio butter and tahini, fresh strawberries, and rich melted chocolate drizzled throughout. This no-bake indulgence offers a delightful combination of textures and flavors, combining nutty, sweet, and fruity notes in a visually stunning treat perfect for gatherings or special occasions.

Ingredients

Kataifi Filling

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 ounces kataifi shredded dough (chopped)
  • 1 cup pistachio butter (or pistachio cream)
  • 2 tablespoons tahini (optional)

Chocolate Drizzle

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Other Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds strawberries (halved)
  • Ground pistachios (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the kataifi filling: Melt the unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chopped kataifi dough and cook, stirring constantly, until it becomes browned and crispy, about 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and stir in the pistachio butter and tahini (if using). Allow the mixture to cool for 10 minutes in the pan.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Place the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  3. Assemble the dessert cups: Evenly distribute 8 halved strawberries into the bottom of each of 4 clear 12-ounce cups. Drizzle about 2 tablespoons of melted chocolate over the strawberries to fill the gaps. Add approximately 3 tablespoons of the kataifi filling on top. Repeat this layering by adding another layer of halved strawberries near the top of the cup, followed by more kataifi filling, a drizzle of melted chocolate, and a sprinkle of ground pistachios for garnish.
  4. Chill and serve: Enjoy immediately or refrigerate the assembled cups for about 10 minutes to allow the chocolate to set and enhance the texture contrasts before serving.

Notes

  • To achieve the best texture, ensure the kataifi dough is evenly browned and crispy but not burnt.
  • Tahini is optional but adds a subtle nuttiness that complements the pistachio butter.
  • If you prefer, use dark, milk, or white chocolate chips depending on your sweetness preference.
  • Ground pistachios add a nice crunch and visual appeal as a garnish.
  • This dessert is best served chilled, but can also be enjoyed at room temperature for softer textures.
