Description

This creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta is a quick and easy one-pot meal perfect for busy weeknights. Made with tender angel hair pasta simmered in a savory garlic-infused broth, butter, and milk, then finished with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of fresh parsley. The dish offers rich flavors and a comforting texture without complicated steps or extra dishes.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (finely grated)
  • 3 Tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 8 oz. angel hair pasta
  • Fresh parsley (to garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Parmesan: Grate the Parmesan cheese finely and set it aside at room temperature to allow it to soften slightly for easier melting later.
  2. Melt Butter and Cook Garlic: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Add Liquids: Pour in the chicken broth, then slowly add the milk while stirring continuously. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
  4. Add Pasta: Add the angel hair pasta to the boiling liquid. You may break the noodles in half if needed to better fit the pan, or allow them to soften slightly to twist and submerge fully with tongs.
  5. Simmer Pasta: Let the pasta simmer gently for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Once cooked al dente, reduce the heat to low to keep warm.
  6. Add Butter: Stir in the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter, tossing the pasta to coat evenly and enrich the sauce.
  7. Add Parmesan Cheese: Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese while stirring continuously. The cheese will melt into the sauce, initially thin but will thicken as it rests and the pasta absorbs the sauce.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle the dish with fresh chopped parsley for a bright, fresh finish. Serve immediately with garlic bread or your favorite side.

Notes

  • Angel hair pasta cooks very quickly; monitor closely to avoid overcooking and clumping.
  • Allow the Parmesan cheese to come to room temperature for smoother melting.
  • You can break the noodles in half if your skillet is small.
  • The sauce will be thin at first but thickens as it stands and the pasta absorbs it.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley for added color and flavor.
  • Pair with garlic bread with cheese for a complete meal.
